Dinghy Park

Dinghy Park berths are available to members on an annual basis. Owners of any boats in the Dinghy Park must agree to the Terms and Conditions: Dinghy Park Terms and conditions January 2024.pdf

Spaces can be organised by contacting Gerard Gibson at dinghypark@wobyc.com.

NOTE: WOBYC operates an Abandoned Boat Procedure, more details of which can be seen in the Policy Documents at the foot of every web page.

Please: Before you bring your boat down and put it in a space, could you speak to Gerard Gibson, the Dinghy Park Manager, first - either in person or by email dinghypark@wobyc.com so that you can be allocated a suitable space for your boat.

If you have had your boat in the dinghy park before you may not be in the same space, as spaces will be allocated from 1st April on a First come-First served basis - prompt payment of your club and dinghy park fees is highly recommended!

Just because a space is empty doesn't mean it is free: spaces have already been allocated to other members who may have their boats temporarily elsewhere.

The berths in the dinghy park are 2 metres wide and up to 5.5 metres long, the number on the rail is the centre of your space. Apart from the odd over-sized boat (Squibs, Flying Fifteens, etc) that are accommodated in special spaces, you must fit (including any trailer) within the space allocated.

When a space has been allocated to you and payment has been confirmed, you'll be issued with a sticker to place on the transom of your boat/trailer that has the same number as the space allocated and also indicates the year you have paid for, you'll also be issued a spare sticker for either a second boat or if your first sticker gets damaged.

Displaying the stickers helps the Club to know that boats are in the correct location and also have been paid for. Any boats not displaying the latest sticker helps determine those that have not paid for or if the boat has been abandoned.

You are responsible for cutting/clearing the grass/vegetation in your space.

PLEASE: NO CARS ON THE GRASS IN THE DINGHY PARK.
